Joe Connor

Joe Connor is a UK based writer and director making films that get into the bones and stay with you long after they have finished.

Trained in experimental theatre at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, he brings performance and visual experimentation to music videos, commercials and longer-form storytelling. His work has received multiple nominations, including at Cannes Lions, D&AD, Creative Circle, 1.4 awards, Berlin Commercial awards, Shots Awards and the British Arrows, as well as seven UK Music Video Awards nominations. His work for The Rolling Stones is preserved in the BFI archive.

His three feature documentaries include A Message to You, on Terry Hall and The Specials, and Wild Wood, on Paul Weller. Both won the Gold Award at the 46th Telly Awards. His second unit directing credits include The Night Manager season two and the forthcoming Army Of Shadows.

He also makes music as Vincent Sonder and as one half of Supermodel.
